Candied Pecans go with everything

Candied Pecans...can't live without them!!! I am not kidding, candied pecans are perfect for wine tastings, a great addition to a cheese plate, tossed on a salad, garnish for most entrees, awesome on top of a cheesecake or to top a chocolate sundae. LOVE CANDIED PECANS.

If you haven't made these before, candied pecans are super easy to make. Actually, I made my recent batch while talking on the phone. Just don't walk away from the pan after the pecans are in.
You can spice these up however you want, I like to use cayenne pepper. YUM.

Candied Pecans
This is all you will need:
1 tsp butter
1 tablespoon sugar
1 pinch salt
1 tiny pinch cayenne pepper
1 cup pecans

Put all the ingredients, except the pecans in a pan on med-hi heat.
When the sugar is dissolved, add the pecans and toss so the pecans are coated.
Pour the pecans on to a cookie sheet and let it cool.

Another version:
substitute the cayenne pepper with cinnamon and add a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. YUM

  1. Simple and delicious recipe. I eat them a lot in salads mixed with a crumbled blue cheese and pears.
