French Fridays with Dorie: Asparagus with bits of Bacon
Thank You to Dorie Greenspan's, Around My French Table Cookbook. OK, this is my new "go to" side dish. I love bacon, but the addition of walnut oil, fresh lemon juice and a tiny bit of onion, make the asparagus POP! Yummy.
I served the Asparagus with bits of Bacon, with at medium rare Ribeye and a nice Cote du Rhone...mmmmmmmm!

Yes please ! Nana and I love bacon and onions with about anything, but serving this asparagus dish with your Ribeye and wine....oh yeah :) Great job and photo. I want that blue dish.......

ReplyDeleteGracie, The only thing that would have made your Post better is if you'd thrown a picture of that rare ribeye on the plate. It's Easter, and everyone's thinking "ham" with asparagus, but my tastebuds were "moved" by the thought of a rare steak. Happy holiday week-end to you. Mary
